Program Supervisor & Feeding Therapist

Chantal received her bachelor’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis with a concentration in autism spectrum disorders at Capilano University. She is currently completing her master’s degree in Special Education (concentration in developmental disabilities) at UBC. She is also a board certified as an Associate Behaviour Analyst. Chantal has been working with individuals with ASD/related challenges since 2010, but has been volunteering with individuals with disabilities since 2001, and provided respite care for adults with disabilities from 2006-2014.

For the past 3 years, under the supervision of Dr. Binnendyk, Chantal has specialized her practice to assisting children with problem behaviour and severe feeding issues. In her role as a Feeding Therapist, Chantal has been highly successful with introducing new foods to highly selective eaters ranging in age of 2-16. She also is very skilled at teaching children to chew and self-feed.

As an Associate Behaviour Analyst, she has trained behaviour interventionists who are new to the field and supervised more experienced behaviour interventionists in home programs. She has also implemented routine specific positive behaviour support plans in home settings.
