Program Supervisor & Feeding Therapist

Lisa received her master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at SFU. Her thesis is titled, “Searching for Belonging: Parents’ Storied Experiences of their Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder Transitioning to Kindergarten.” As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Lisa has extensive training and experience working with children and families in a therapeutic role. Lisa strives to build collaborative relationships with family members and to empower parents and children to make positive changes in their lives.

In addition to her training in Counselling Psychology, Lisa has been working with children with ASD/related challenges and their families since 2007. She has extensive experience implementing behaviour intervention programs in home, school, and community settings. Under the supervision of Dr. Binnendyk, Lisa has specialized her practice to assisting clients with problem behaviour and severe feeding issues and has had tremendous success in these areas. Lisa also provides services to children with generalized anxiety, phobias, and those in need of self-regulation strategies.
