What is Problem Behaviour?

Children with autism and related disabilities commonly engage in behaviour that interferes with their ability to fully participate in family life, educational programs, or community activities.

Children may engage in behaviour that is harmful to themselves or others, or simply refuse to participate in important family and educational activities.

When a behaviour interferes with a child’s ability to engage in family and community life, it is problem behaviour.

Can you help with my child’s problem behaviour?

Yes!  Problem behaviours can be dealt with using a consistent, incremental approach such as applied behaviour analysis (ABA).

Please see our page on Problem Behaviour Services for more information.
